We want to present you Villa Poggiolo, an estate that dates back to 1800, and that over the last years, has undergone numerous renovations but that, like an old lady, every morning awakens with a new ailment.

We love her in her being faithful to the original; we find charming the creaking of the old elm floors that tell stories; We feed them every day but can never put an end to their creaks.
The same is for the old handmade terracotta floors on the top floor, with the joints widening. We love them so and we do not even consider all the interventions that would denature the deep origins of this magical place.

Now I talk to you, kind visitor: if you love what has lived a long time and it is safe but imperfect, you are more than welcome and we are waiting for you. You will have the chance to walk in the park with secular plants that we maintain, with care and respect, every season, even when you are not there.

The old and wide walls of our houses and Villa seem to rebel against modernity and you will find WIFI, but nothing more. Some television has managed to settle but not everywhere; The signals do not work properly and “the old lady” seems to suggest you: “Speak, think, love, rest. Let the world out of here.”

Villa Poggiolo keeps alive the warmth from the past, and year by year it consolidates itself as a place of memories; not surprisingly chosen by many spouses as a nest for new promises.

After the riding school, you will find a gate that protects a path, kept safe for you, if you want to walk or ride on horseback immersed in the private forest and its quiet inhabitants, without cars or other noise.

You will see the ancient pool of mullet water hidden by the brambles. We are bringing it back to life!
